As a photojournalist, I was welcomed into many homes and trusted with those families’ stories. I mastered the art of storytelling, capturing emotion and connection, and being a fly on the wall, as they say. These families filled my heart and impacted my life, just as the families I document today do.

 As a mom whose mom has died, I also deeply feel how important it is to document your loved ones today as they are. Kids grow and change so fast. Time never slows down
