Year in Pictures 2020: Personal

This post has been the hardest to narrow down. I spent a lot of time with my family in 2020. Out of all of the things I photographed, I probably took the most photos of my kids. I documented the good times and the times the boys declared were the “worst days ever.” It will definitely be a year we’ll never forget.

Some highlights of 2020: We spent labor day weekend in Gatlinburg and Thanksgiving with my sister in Arkansas.

Levi lost a bunch of his baby teeth. He found a love for video games and baseball. He learned how to ride his bike without training wheels.

Ethan found his love for super heroes and rock and roll music. He spent a lot of time dressing up in costumes and pretending to fly. Luckily he didn’t seriously injure himself. The boys tried ice cream sandwiches for the first time.

As a family we spent a lot of time outside. We hiked, hunted mushrooms, the boys camped. We got a basketball goal. We got used to e-learning, working from home and the challenges of a slow internet connection.

All in all the pandemic forced us to slow down and spend more time together and that has been the greatest blessing.

Ethan shaved Kevin’s beard in April so masks would fit better on Kevin’s face.
