Year in Pictures 2018: Weddings

As we begin 2019, it’s always good to look back at the past year and see what went well and what I need to work on. In the early part of 2018, I helped Kelly Buechlein photograph two weddings, one for Talia Terwiske and Jared Myrick and the other for Nicole Freyberger and Stuart Thomas. Then in May, I documented the wedding rehearsal, dinner and a Spirit of Jasper train ride up to French Lick for Sagan Rudolph and Mick Grunert.

When I look back at these pictures, the one thing that sticks out is how lucky I am to document LOVE for a living. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is 1 John 4:19, “We love because he first loved us.” In a day and age where there’s so much negativity, hate, fear, discrimination and awful news every time I turn on NPR, it is incredibly uplifting to see families come together to celebrate love…God’s love.
