Year in Pictures 2022: Owensboro Deacon Ordination

I was honored to be asked to photograph the Owensboro, KY, Deacon Ordination for seminarians, Christopher Kight and Christopher Grief, in April last year at St. Stephen Cathedral. I have known both since they began studies at Saint Meinrad and in just a few short months, God willing, they will graduate and be ordained priests.

My favorite images are not of the ordination itself, but of the life happening around the ordination…Fellow seminarians and priests there for support, children in the pews, a joyful mother…a service dog. I hope years from now, Deacon Chris Kight and Deacon Christopher Grief will look back on these photos and they’ll see the joy, love and support of their friends and family as they took the next step in their ministry in the Church.
